With over 3 years of experience at Cognizant COE, I specialize in Quality Engineering and Assurance, with a strong focus on emerging technologies. My expertise encompasses the exciting realms of Robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). In particular, I have a profound understanding of AWS IoT, Azure IoT, and GCP IoT. I have been at the forefront of the development of an innovative IoT Loading Testing Accelerator.

In the domain of AR and VR, I bring hands-on experience in Unity AR app development and have played a pivotal role in the creation of an AR Application Testing Framework. Additionally, I am skilled in GitLab CI and have successfully implemented continuous testing in DevOpsย pipelines.

This paper introduces a comprehensive testing methodology designed to ensure the utmost immersion within these technologies.

The AR & VR market is projected to reach US$31.12 billion (about $96 per person in the US) (about $96 per person in the US) in 2023, with a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 13.72% from 2023 to 2027, while the Metaverse market is expected to reach USD 322.02 billion by 2030, with a CAGR of 47.2% from 2023 to 2030. The widespread adoption of these technologies across diverse sectors necessitates the assurance of quality and reliability to deliver truly immersive and engaging user experiences.

The technologies of AR, VR, and Metaverse are plagued with various eccentric assurance challenges. Unlike other technologies, these technologies must be addressed with strategies to assure the immersive-ness, interactive-ness, accessibility, device orientation tracking, environmental responsiveness and many such unique challenges on top of all the usual functional and non-functional aspects of an application.ย

This paper provides a solution; in terms of a comprehensive QA Framework that assures the AR, VR and metaverse applications over these various eccentric issues that span across Immersive assurance, End-to-end assurance, and Non-functional assurance. The paper also talks about the benefits the framework withholds as it seamlessly assures the AR, VR and metaverse applications across various devices offering functional and non- functional assurance, making it truly reliable for addressing the unique challenges of each technology. The framework leveraging automation, performance measurement, and comprehensive reporting, helps the developers to optimize applications and deliver captivating immersive experiences across AR, VR, and the Metaverse realms.
