Introduction
In today’s data-driven environment, organizations need user-friendly tools to effectively visualize and analyze their data. This Power BI dashboard was developed in response to stakeholder requests for comprehensive analytics on a complex project that required detailed tracking of testing information. Its purpose is to empower stakeholders with real-time insights, facilitating informed decision-making and enhancing overall project efficiency.

Objectives
The primary objective of this dashboard is to serve as a centralized platform for monitoring test execution and defect details over time. By consolidating data from various sources, the dashboard enables stakeholders to quickly access information on test results, progress, and quality metrics, supporting informed decision-making.

Methodology
The dashboard integrates data from multiple sources, including test management and defect management tools, leveraging Power BI’s robust data modeling capabilities. The data was cleansed and transformed to ensure accuracy, and advanced DAX measures were used to provide deeper analytical insights. Various visualization techniques, such as bar charts, line graphs, and pie charts, were employed to effectively present the data.

Detailed overview
This Power BI dashboard serves as an analytical tool to monitor and evaluate the project’s testing lifecycle. It begins with a clear project summary that encapsulates the objectives, scope, and key performance indicators. The execution statussection providesreal-time insightsinto testing progress, identifying completed, in-progress, and pending test cases.

The report also features an overview of test blockages, detailing factorsthat impede testing efficiency, allowing for prompt intervention. Test run analysis is presented to assess the success rates and identify patterns over time, while the execution run rate analysis benchmarks testing velocity against established timelines.

Furthermore, the dashboard presents a thorough examination of defects, including overall defect counts, defect severity categorization, and a summary of open defects that require resolution. Detailed defect insights facilitate understanding of root causes and trends, guiding teams in prioritizing fixes.
