Kavin Arvind Ragavan is a Senior Performance Architect at Cognizant, where he leads initiatives at the intersection of Performance Engineering, Chaos Engineering, Observability, and Generative AI. With over 15 years of experience in performance engineering and more than 5 years in SRE and chaos testing, he specializes in designing robust performance assurance strategies for cloud-native and hybrid environments—especially on AWS.
Kavin is widely recognized for transforming traditional performance testing through AI-driven automation. He has built intelligent frameworks using GitHub Copilot and AWS Bedrock that accelerate test scripting, automate root cause analysis, and enhance observability integration. His expertise spans tools such as LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter, Dynatrace, Splunk ITSI, and various AWS services, which he seamlessly integrates into performance monitoring and resilience validation workflows.
As an AWS Community Builder and frequent conference speaker (STAR EAST, Global Testing Retreat, Chaos Carnival, AWS Summits), Kavin actively contributes to the global tech community. Off-stage, you’ll find him crafting prompts, experimenting with AI models, or convincing teams that Copilot is their new best friend in test design.
His current focus is on building GenAI-powered platforms to advance performance engineering and when not architecting solutions, Kavin mentors engineering teams, writes technical blogs, and explores how emerging technologies like Agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) are redefining the future of performance and site reliability engineering
